About Oglala Family: Black Bear, Eagle Eye, Red Nest
This family tree is devoted to the descendants and extended families of Black Bear and Cow Goes First, Oglala Sioux Indians who lived on Pineridge Reservation. Note that some people are in this tree because we think they ,may be related but do not know exactly how. You can identify the direct line descendants of Cow Goes First by looking for the Blue family line indicators next to their names.

If you are interested in learning how we determined who belonged to their family in spite of the paucity of vital records, please visit our
Eagle Eye Family Tree Home Page.

And if you want more complete information or a less browser intense version of this tree, you can visit our text-based version of this tree at http://thecohens.theunixplace.com/trees/oglala/. That site may go down for a few hours occasionally for upgrades, but it has no ads, and there are no limits to the number of generations shown in the primary descendant reports there. But if you prefer a visual tree and do not care about seeing any of the census transcriptions we created for family members, this tree at TribalPages is the right version.

To get acquainted with our family trees, you can either browse this site by starting with the Name Index, or you may wish to visit our Eagle Eye Family tree guided tour page that has helpful links for each of the branches of our family. Another way to find the NAME index here is to go to the Home page and then click on "Name Index". That will give you a list of the deceased relatives in the family tree, along with the names of their parents and spouses. If you want more information about a specific individual on the list, click on their name, and that will take you to a page showing their parents, spouse(s), and children. thecohens.theunixplace.com

Then, if you think we may be related, or have information you wish to see added or corrected, please do Contact us through this site, or via our Contact page at RootsWeb.
